Downloading ReactOS

If you already have a ReactOS CD then you can skip this and move on to lesson 4. If you already have the iso file downloaded but not burned to a CD, skip to the second part of this lesson.

Download

  1. Go to the ReactOS home page and click on the Download link in the section on the right panel.

  2. Select Installation CD from the list of end-user packages. This will take you to a downloading page where your browser should pop up with a window asking you what you want to do with the zip file. Save the zip file to a location that you will remember later.
  3. Use an archive application to unzip the file you downloaded and reveal the iso file inside. Save the iso file to a place you will remember for later use.

Burn

  1. Inser a blank CD-R into your computer.
  2. Open up your CD burning software that has support for burning iso images.
  3. Select the tool for bruning iso images and choose the iso file you just downloaded. This will also take some time to burn so be patient.

  4. Once the CD finishes burning, you are ready to move on to the next lesson - Installing ReactOS.
